How this works
A privacy preferences tool runs on this site. On your first visit it asks once, at the bottom of the page, and whatever you choose is stored on this device for 12 months. You can change your mind any time: open Cookie preferences in the footer. The tool lists every single thing this site stores or loads, grouped into the categories below. If we ever add a service, it appears in the tool first and stays off until you allow it.
Strictly necessary (always on)
- Sign-in session (local storage): keeps you signed in.
- Cart and checkout: keeps your trip cart together, stored on your account.
- Display currency (cookie `ci_currency`, 1 year): remembers the currency you picked.
- Language choice (local storage): remembers your language.
- This privacy tool (cookie `ci_consent`, 12 months): remembers the choices you make so we do not ask on every visit.
- Country detection, first visit only: we look up which country your connection comes from, once, to pick a starting currency. Your IP address is used for the lookup and never stored.
These are required for the site to function and are exempt from consent.
Preferences (your choice)
- Recently viewed and last search (local storage, 30-day self-expiry): fills the homepage rails like "Continue planning your trip." This lives only in your browser. We never receive a copy and no profile is built. Switch it off and it is deleted immediately.
External media (your choice)
- Google Maps embeds: maps on destination, attraction, and travel guide pages come from Google Maps. Loading a map connects your browser to Google, which may set its own cookies under [Google's privacy policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy). Until you allow this category, every map sits behind a click-to-load screen and nothing connects to Google. You can also load a single map once without allowing the category.
Analytics
We run no analytics. Nothing counts, records, or tracks how you use this site.
Marketing
We run no advertising trackers or pixels, and we never sell or share your browsing data. Marketing email is a separate opt-in, off by default, controlled from your account settings.
